I’ve been interested in Art from a young age, but then I started to gain more specific interested in Photography and I was lucky enough to have been given an SLR camera for my birthday a few years ago. I take my camera around with me most places I go and I try to make the most out of it, from parties to art work.
I took Art as a subject throughout school and 6th form too and always enjoyed it thoroughly. After taking a gap year, I’m currently on an Access to HE Art, Design and Photography course at Portsmouth University until Summer. I’m really enjoying the feel of university life aswell as the projects we’ve been given throughout the course, I also feel I’ve gained a lot of independence from the experience. The course has given me more preparation for a degree and has helped me confirm that photography is the path I want to follow. We’ve been given projects on painting, drawing and photography. It has also developed my confidence and people skills increasingly and I look forward to starting a degree. As a career I am interested in creating modelling photoshoots or special occasions, or perhaps even magazine photography however I’d still like to explore the other possible careers with photography.
Besides my education, I’ve always made time for my other interests such as horse riding. I’ve been riding since I was 3 years old, and also been lucky enough to care for and ride horses of my own. I’ve volunteered at different riding schools such as Lilleshall Equestrian Centre and Telford Equestrian Centre. Riding has greatly improved my teamwork skills and also by having my own horse to care for by myself this has made me very independent. I’ve always had a very strong passion for animals throughout my life.
